Hello! My name is Delaney. I love Batman and video games ESPECIALLY Lego Batman. My favorite actor for Batman is Christian Bale and my favorite movie director (in general) is Christopher Nolan, who also happens to direct the Dark Knight Trilogy with starring actor Christian Bale. My favorite ways to consume media are through YouTube and Netflix. YouTube allows me to watch almost anything, but I mainly like to watch comedic videos of people playing games that I also enjoy playing. YouTube is my favorite because of the idea of watching people who are just like me do the things that I enjoy most, which makes me feel included and entertained without actually playing a game. Netflix is also one of my favorites because instead of having to be specific in my search like YouTube requires, I can scroll through a specific category such as new, romance, comedic and more. As you may be aware from my other posts, I have a film in progress. I wanted to share my “ CCR plan” with you all! The title sequence uses some genre conventions because of how the words fade in, but mystery genre title sequences often have different shots shown for each credit or title, which mine does not. Some credits share the same shot. For this sequence, I decided to use cuts that would transition well: cutting from the character Grey’s eyes in one shot to her eyes in the next and using the sound of sizzling bacon as a transition to cut to the next shot. These decisions were to help the transition or cut be smoother and have more meaning. This clip here shows what I mean by this: The lack of dialogue was also a decision I made because I wanted to display meaning visually and through the movements and actions of my characters.
